I wouldn’t normally post just to link to another blog, but this is special. This has little to do with LotRO, but has everything to do with MMOs and why we love them so. It’s not just about WoW, it’s about why we love MMOs, why we play, and why we all need to care about Real ID; Blizzard is in many ways the standard for online gaming, and you can bet every developer is watching this scenario very closely.
It’s a great read no matter what game you play, and it’s hands-down the best argument being put forth in the whole Real ID issue.
I said it before, and I’m going to say it again – Activision will be the WoW killer. Not another game. Just plain stupidity.
